(Boise, ID) ? On the heels of victories between the pipes Friday and Saturday night, Rejean Beauchemin has been named the Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week. Beauchemin went 2-0-0 on the week with a goals-against average of 1.50 to earn the nod from the league offices in Princeton, NJ. The 24-year-old goaltender held the Stockton Thunder to one goal on Friday night and two goals on Saturday night, stopping a total of 44 shots as Idaho won both nights. The team won again behind Richard Bachman on Sunday to complete the season-opening three-game sweep over the visiting Thunder. Beauchemin is in his second season with Idaho. Last season, he won 17 games for the Steelheads and finished sixth in the ECHL in goals-against average. Idaho is on the road this weekend, playing at Utah on Friday and Saturday night. The Steelheads return to Qwest Arena on Saturday, November 7. It?s a ?Sellout Saturday? at the Arena ? if the game sells out, pitchers of soda and beer are half-price at the SportZone after the game.
