(Boise, ID) ? Idaho Steelheads head coach Derek Laxdal announced Wednesday that goaltender Rejean Beauchemin has agreed to terms for a second season with the ECHL franchise. Beauchemin split time with Matt Climie last season, posting a 17-11-3 record between the pipes for Idaho. He finished the season tied for sixth in the ECHL in goals-against average (2.64). ?He and Matt formed one of the better 1-2 punches in the ECHL,? Laxdal said. ?We?re excited to have him back and have a lot of confidence in him teaming with whichever goaltender the Dallas organization sends us.? The Steelheads are affiliated with the NHL?s Dallas Stars. The 24-year-old Beauchemin has played parts of the past four seasons in the ECHL with Trenton (2005-06), Bakersfield (2006-07), Dayton (2007-08), and Idaho. He also has three stops in the American Hockey League on his resume. He is scheduled to attend training camp with the AHL?s Manitoba Moose before Idaho?s training camp in early October. Season-ticket packages for the 2009-2010 season are available now, starting as low as $450 per seat for all 36 home games. Partial-season ticket packages are available for as little as $150. New this season is the all-inclusive ?Gold Membership.? Contact the Steelheads front office at 208.383.0080 or visit www.idahosteelheads.com for more information.
