(Boise, ID) -- The Boise Burn have been assigned productive af2 veteran Johnny Jackson in time for Saturday night's playoff game at Spokane. Jackson, a 6-foot-4 defensive lineman, has played two seasons in af2 and got to Boise in time to practice with the team before departing for Spokane Friday morning. "Boise has given me the opportunity to help them in the postseason," Jackson said. "I am going to do whatever I can to bring a championship to Boise." Doing what he has always done in af2 would be a good start. Playing for Everett (2007) and Tri-Cities (2008), Jackson combined for 19.5 sacks, 22.5 tackles-for-loss, and seven forced fumbles. In five career games against Spokane, Jackson has 3.5 sacks. Jackson played two seasons of college football with Arizona in the Pac Ten. As a senior in 2001, he had 32 total tackles and six sacks. After his playing days were over at Arizona, he signed free-agent deals with Atlanta and Dallas of the NFL. He took three seasons off to be with his mother as she battled serious illness before joining Everett in 2007. Boise (13-4) and Spokane (16-1) meet Saturday night in the Lilac City with a spot in the af2's National Conference title game on the line. The game will be televised live in the Treasure Valley on KTVB's 24/7 Digital 7.2 with gametime just after 8 PM (Mtn). Fans can also listen to the game on the radio on 1140 AM (KGEM) wit Scott Conklin handling the play-by-play duties.
