Boise Burn QB Taylor Tharp used the long ball early to kick start his offense. On the second play from scrimmage, Tharp threw a 48 yard strike to a wide open Nichiren Flowers for the early 7-0 lead. The Burn defense kept the momentum on their side thanks to a heads up play by Terrance Sanders who intercepted a Ryan Porter pass off the wall. The offense capitalized on the turnover with a 46 yard drive capped off by Jerard Rabb?s 11 yard TD giving Boise the 14-0 lead. The Burn outscored the Coyotes 28-7 in the second quarter. Tharp found Flowers (18 yards) and Rabb (11 yards) again in the end zone increasing the lead to 28-0 and the lead got 35-0 on Alex Guerrero?s 3rd TD of the year with 2:38 left to go in the first half. Central Valley would finally get on the board thanks to a Phil Goodman 10 yard pass from Ryan Porter but the celebration would not last long thanks to a Taylor Tharp 1 yard TD run with a 11 seconds left in the half giving the Burn the 42-7 lead at the break. Boise won the second half battle 13-12 with the final touchdown coming on a Terrance Sanders 57 yard kickoff return, his league leading 7th of the season and Boise improves to 11-2 on the year with the 55-19 victory and securing a first round home playoff game.
