Boise moves to no. 4 in Coaches Poll

The Boise Burn moved up another spot in the latest af2 Coaches Poll, advancing to no. 4 in the list released Wednesday by the league offices. Boise (9-2) was the fifth-ranked team last week. Fourth is the high-water mark for the season for the Burn. The 16-team poll is voted on by head coaches throughout the league. A first-place vote is worth 16 points, a second-place vote is worth 15, and so on. The poll has no bearing on post-season seeding or qualification. Spokane (10-0) remains the top-ranked team in the poll, giving the West Division two of the league?s top four teams. The Shock received 23 of 25 possible first-place votes. The other two first-place votes went to Tulsa (10-1), who finished second in the poll. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton is third, followed by Boise and Tennessee Valley to round out the top five. The Burn return to action at home Saturday night, hosting the Stockton Lightning at Qwest Arena. Gametime is 7 PM. It?s a 4-for-$44 game, which means fans can purchase four game tickets, four Pepsi?s, and four hot dogs for just $44 (plus ticketing fees). Call the Qwest Arena box office at 208.331.TIXS for more information.
