The assault on the Boise Burn franchise record book continues. Saturday night, it was the ?passing? category that took a hit, as rookie quarterback Taylor Tharp set the all-time and single-season touchdown pass record in Boise?s win over Central Valley. An 18-yard scoring strike to Nichiren Flowers broke Royal Gill?s year-old record of 53 touchdown tosses in a season. He finished the game with five scoring throws. That mark also sets the career record. Tharp has 56 touchdown passes going into Boise?s next game on July 11. Gill (53) is now second, followed by Bart Hendricks (47) on the all-time Burn list. Career passing yards is squarely in Tharp?s cross-hairs as well. He has passed for 2,498 yards so far this season. The career record is 2,655, held by Gill. A second single-season record fell on Saturday night when receiver Jomo Wilson eclipsed Demond Williams? year-old all-purpose yardage mark. More records are close to falling, including the franchise?s single-season receiving yardage mark. Casey Allen currently holds the title with 1,113 yards in 2007, but Flowers has 884 yards with three games left. Alex Guerrero (12) is also on the verge of setting the franchise?s single-season record for tackles-for-loss. That one is held by Mark Weivoda (13 in 2008). The following is a partial list of individual records, all-time and single-season, that have fallen during the 2009 campaign: Career TD Passes: Taylor Tharp, 56 (old mark 53, Royal Gill) Career TD Runs: Damian Walker, 14 (old mark 10, George Williams) Career Sacks: Mark Weivoda, 17 (old mark 15, Travis Tofi) Career Tackles: Levi Madarieta, 125 (old mark 91.5, Sullivan Beard) Career Kickoff Returns for TD: Terrence Sanders, 8 (old mark 2, Demond Williams) Career Extra Points: Ben Scott, 77 (old mark 61, Danny Beardall) Single-Season TD Passes: Tharp, 56 (old mark 53, Gill ?08) Single-Season TD Runs: Walker, 14 (old mark 10, G.
