The Boise Burn defense set the tone early and the offense followed suit as the Boise Burn gave head coach Brent Winter a victory in his first game as a head coach. On the first drive of the game linebacker Levi Madarieta picked of Joe Ayoob setting up the games first score. Rudy Carlton hit Nichiren Flowers on a 3 yard TD giving Boise the early 6-0 lead (missed P.A.T) Ben Aguilar?s first career field goal gave Boise the 9-0 lead after one quarter of play. The Fever?s only TD of game came in the second quarter when Joe Ayoob connected with Nakoa McElrath for an 8 yard strike but the Burn exploded for 27 points in the 2nd quarter to take control of the game. Rudy Carlton threw a pair of touchdown passes to Casey Allen, ran for another score and Levi Madarieta returned his second interception 7 yards for a score (3 INT in the game) as Boise took a 36-12 lead into the break. The Burn defense held Tri-Cities to 3 second half points while the offense scored a TD in each of the 3rd and 4th quarters. The final TD came on a Taylor Tharp lob to Jerard Rabb who made a great catch. This marked the first professional TD?s for both players. The Boise Burn have a bye week and will travel to Bossier-Shreveport for an April 11th match up with the Battle Wings.
