Off the Hook: Weekly Update 11/17/08

The Idaho Steelheads (6-6-1-1) embark on a three-game home stand this week as they welcome the Stockton Thunder (5-6-0-2) to Qwest Arena Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. This is the first meeting between these two clubs this season. Last season, Idaho went 6-3-0-0 against the Thunder.The Steelheads split a couple of wild ones in Las Vegas over the weekend. Idaho?s offense sparked on Friday with the highest scoring game of the season as the team won 6-1, giving up the lone goal with just 17 seconds left to go in the game. On Saturday though, the Wranglers exacted revenge and scored seven goals to the Steelheads solitary tally. It was apparent during Saturday?s game that there was no love lost between these two teams, as the game was riddled with penalties, including six fighting majors and three game misconducts.
