Boise Burn wide receiver George Williams scored 6 TD?s and broke a pair of af2 records as the Boise Burn won their 4th consecutive Game 77-14 over the Stockton Lightning in front of a sell out crowd of 5,172 at Qwest Arena. Williams (Schutt Offensive player of the game) came into the game 2 TD?s shy of the Magic Benton?s Career TD mark of 167 and 20 points shy of Benton?s all time scoring record of 1,020. He broke both records in the first 10:40 seconds of the game. Down 7-0, Royal Gill connected with Williams a 34 yard TD on the Burn?s first offensive play of the Game to even the score at 7. The Burn would get a defensive stop and on the next play Williams took a hand off for a 2 yard score tying Benton?s TD record at 167. 3 and half minutes later, Williams again ran the ball in from 2 yards out for the record setting TD and the 20-7 lead. Up 32-7, Williams broke the all time scoring record on a 17 yard strike from Royal Gill with 4:45 left to go in the 2nd quarter. Williams finished with 6 TD?s in the win. Williams finished with 4 catches for 71 yards and 3TD?s and 5 carries for 11 yards and 3 TD?s increasing his record totals to 171 TD?s and 1,036 points. Defensively the Burn were led by Travis Tofi, who tallied 2 sacks and had an interception returned for a TD. The Burn finished with 5 Interceptions and 2 fumble recoveries on the night. As a unit, Boise held Stockton to 0-9 on 3rd down conversions and 0-8 on 4th down conversions, holding the Lightning to 84 yards of offense. The Burn (4-1) will travel to Spokane to take on the undefeated Shock (5-0) next Saturday Night in a National Conference West Division showdown.
