BOISE, ID – The Idaho Steelheads (@Steelheads), proud ECHL (@ECHL) affiliate of the Dallas Stars (@DallasStars), and Steelheads Head Coach & Director of Hockey Operations Everett Sheen announced today that the club has signed goaltender Nick Grabko to an ECHL contract.
Grabko, 25, just completed a five-year NCAA Division I collegiate career appearing in 20 games posting a (5-11-4) record with a 2.74 goals against average, .899 save percentage, and one shutout. Prior to joining the Nanooks, the 6-foot, 187lb goaltender played four years at Bentley University from 2020-24 appearing in 56 games. Across his five seasons in college, he collected a (24-46-4) mark in 76 games with a 2.99 goals against average and .896 save percentage.
The Channahon, IL native played one season in the USHL with the Green Bay Gamblers in 2019-20 and one full season in the NAHL with the Minot Minotauros the previous year.
The Steelheads look for the series sweep tonight in Kansas City at 5:05 p.m. (MT) before returning back to the Idaho Central Arena for a five-game homestand beginning next Friday.
