Boise, ID (3/25/16) – Idaho Steelheads Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Neil Graham announced on Friday that forward Emil Molin has arrived in Boise and is available for this weekend’s series against the Colorado Eagles. Molin (moh-LEEN) was reassigned to the Steelheads Thursday morning from the American Hockey League’s Texas Stars by the NHL’s Dallas Stars.
The 23 year-old Swedish winger, playing his first season in North America, was called up to AHL Texas on February 8th for his second recall of the season. In 11 games this season in Texas, Molin has collected three assists.
In 46 games this season with the Steelheads, Molin has scored 19 goals and 38 points, both of which rank second on the team. Molin has also tallied five power play goals with Idaho.
Molin was a fourth round draft pick (105th overall) of the Dallas Stars in the 2011 NHL Draft. In 137 professional games played in North America and Sweden, Molin has collected 62 career points.
