Boise, ID (1/20/16)— The Idaho Steelheads have announced the total donations following last weekend’s Jayden DeLuca Foundation Jersey Auction at CenturyLink Arena. All proceeds from the event have been donated to the Jayden DeLuca Foundation and St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital to support pediatric cardiac health.
The Steelheads collected $9,600 from the jersey auction at the end of Saturday’s game. Forward Brandon Magee’s jersey earned the highest bid at $600. The Steelheads earned an additional $2,950 from t-shirt sales, as well as from a raffle for a jersey signed by the entire team. The donation totals $12,550.
“We would like to thank our fans once again for coming out to support the Jayden DeLuca Foundation,” said Steelheads’ President Eric Trapp. “It’s a terrific organization that does so much to help the youth in our community, and we were honored to have the opportunity to contribute to those efforts once again.”
The Steelheads have held custom jersey auctions for fans since 1998, donating over $500,000 dollars to various charities during that time.
The Steelheads travel to face the Alaska Aces for three games in three nights this weekend, starting with Friday night’s game at Sullivan Arena. Puck-drop is scheduled for 9:15 MT, with the game available on ECHLTV and on 1350AM KTIK.
