Boise, ID (11/30/15)— Idaho Steelheads Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Neil Graham announced Monday that the team has bolstered its forward corps with the additions of forwards Kyle Jean and Jake Fallon, signing both to ECHL contracts.
Jean, 25, has played 19 games this season with Asploven HC in Sweden’s Allsvenskan league, netting two goals and seven points. The Sault Ste. Marie native is a former prospect of the New York Rangers, spending the past three seasons split between the ECHL’s Greenville Road Warriors (now Swamp Rabbits), and the AHL’s Connecticut Whale (now Hartford Wolf Pack), Charlotte Checkers, and Lake Erie Monsters.
Jean has scored 11 goals and 29 points in 126 career AHL games, and 19 goals and 54 points in 74 career ECHL games. In 50 games with Greenville last season, Jean collected 15 goals and 38 points.
Fallon, 23, played the past three seasons at the University of Vermont. He spent his freshman year at the University of Michigan before returning to the United States Hockey League (USHL) for one more season of junior hockey. Fallon scored 20 goals and 68 points in 127 NCAA games.
Prior to playing in college, the Southlake, Texas native was also a product of USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program, where he totaled 26 points in 34 games. He then scored 57 points in 90 games for the Indiana Ice in the USHL across two seasons during the 2009-10 and 2011-12 campaigns.
