Windsor, CO (11/17/15)— Forward Emil Molin rejoined the Idaho Steelheads in Colorado on Tuesday, according to Steelheads Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Neil Graham, and he will be available for Wednesday night’s game against the Colorado Eagles at Budweiser Events Center. Molin was returned to Idaho on Monday by the Texas Stars, American Hockey League affiliate of the Steelheads.
Molin, 22, played one game with AHL Texas since he was recalled by the team last Tuesday. Molin registered an assist and a plus-1 rating in Texas’ 6-3 win over the San Antonio Rampage on November 11th. Molin had four goals and nine points in Idaho’s first 11 games this season prior to his recall, still tied for fourth on the team in scoring.
Molin was a fourth-round selection of the Dallas Stars in the 2011 NHL Draft.
Graham announced several other transactions on Tuesday. Rookie forward Chance Braid was traded to the Allen Americans and defenseman Daniel Johnston was traded to the Wichita Thunder. Both players were traded for future considerations.
Braid played in the Steelheads’ past three games, his first three of the season, with no points and a minus-1 rating. Johnston played in seven games for Idaho, registering a goal and an assist with a minus-3 rating.
Rookie forward Quinn Smith was released by the team on Sunday, and has since been claimed by the Fort Wayne Komets.
The Steelheads and Eagles kick off their three-game series Wednesday night at 7:05pm. The game can be heard on 1350AM KTIK “The Ticket”.
The Steelheads return home to CenturyLink Arena on December 2nd to face the Florida Everblades. For single-game tickets or for information on season ticket plans, contact the Idaho Steelheads at 208-383-0080 or log on to www.idahosteelheads.com.
