Boise, ID (9/1/2015) – Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Neil Graham announced Tuesday that the ECHL’s Idaho Steelheads have agreed to terms with forward Andre Bouvet-Morrissette.
The 6-foot-3, 24-year-old Bouvet-Morrissette (pronounced boo-VAY more-uh-SET) averaged nearly a point per game and finished second on the team in plus/minus rating (plus-6) last season with the Evansville Icemen despite having his season cut short by injury. He finished seventh in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League in goals during 2011-12, his final season of major-junior hockey, with 39 before turning pro. The Quebec native has also skated in 19 games at the American Hockey League level, the highest level of minor-league hockey in North America.
Bouvet-Morrissette is the eighth forward added to the training camp roster, joining Colton Beck, Andrew Carroll, Damian Cross, Chance Braid, Jake Fallon, Chase Grant and Rob Linsmayer.
The Steelheads open the regular season on Friday, October 16, at home against the Rapid City Rush. It is the first of 36 home games, each of which will be played at CenturyLink Arena.
Season tickets are on sale now with full-season packages starting as low as $275 per seat for all 36 home games. Partial-season packages are also available. Contact the Idaho Steelheads at 208-383-0080 for more information or log on to www.idahosteelheads.com.
