Steelheads hockey on the air

Boise, ID (10/16/14) – With Opening Night on Friday, the Idaho Steelheads are happy to announce that fans will once again be able to follow their favorite team on television, on the radio and online.  Will Hoenike will once again serve as “the Voice of the Steelheads.”  He’s been on the mic for Steelheads games for the past three and a half seasons.  John Mulhern will serve as rink-side analyst at all home games and Mark Broz will join the broadcast for home games on Friday night.

Fans who subscribe to CableOne for their television service in the Treasure Valley can watch all home games LIVE on CableOne, channel 17, beginning with Saturday night’s home opener from CenturyLink Arena at 7 PM.

Every Steelheads game – regular-season and post-season – can be heard live on the radio on KTIK Radio in the Treasure Valley.  Most games will be carried live on KTIK 1350 AM, but select games will air on KTIK 93.1 FM.

Every Steelheads game is also available online.  A free, audio-only stream can be found at www.ktik.com or a pay-per-view service is available at ECHL.tv.

The Steelheads are happy to once again produce the Bud Light Idaho Steelheads hockey show as well.  The one-hour show airs every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night on KTIK 1350 AM with guests from a local to national level, talking hockey and sports in general.  Will Hoenike hosts the show with “JP,” John Patrick, serving as his producer on KTIK.  The show began this week and has already featured interviews with Steelheads players Matt Case and Wade MacLeod as well as ECHL Director of Communication Joe Babik and NHL broadcaster Josh Bogorad, a member of the Dallas Stars television broadcasts.
