Second-year blue-liner agrees to terms

Second-year blue-liner agrees to terms

Boise, ID (8/20/14) – Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Brad Ralph announced Wednesday that the ECHL’s Idaho Steelheads have agreed to terms with second-year defenseman Charlie Dodero.

The 21-year-old Dodero was assigned to Idaho by Hartford of the American Hockey League just after Christmas last season.  He appeared in 44 regular-season games with the Steelheads, picking up 19 points (four goals, 15 assists).  His four goals were tied for second-most among Idaho’s defensemen and the Illinois native was voted by Steelheads fans as the team’s biggest hitter during the season.

Ralph now has five defensemen on the team’s training camp roster – Dodero, Matt Case, Patrick Cullity, Eamonn McDermott and Quinn Sproule.  Training camp begins in early October at CenturyLink Arena in Boise.

Season tickets for the 2014-15 season are already on sale, starting at just $275 to secure the same seat for all 36 home games.  There are also partial-season plans available for fans seeking more flexibility.   Contact the Steelheads front office at 208.383.0080 or log on to www.idahosteelheads.com for more information.
