Boise, ID (8/26/14) – Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Brad Ralph announced Tuesday that the ECHL’s Idaho Steelheads have agreed to terms with forward David deKastrozza.
The 27-year-old deKastrozza will be returning to the Steelheads for his third season. He finished last season strong, scoring nine of his 15 goals after February 1 and leading the team in points during the Kelly Cup Playoffs. The Toms River, NJ, native led the ECHL in short-handed goals (6, a team record) during the regular season and also put his name in the league’s record book by scoring the goal that ended the longest game in ECHL history, Game 6 of the Western Conference quarterfinals against Colorado, at the 17:18 mark of the fourth overtime.
