Boise, ID (8/1/14) – Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Brad Ralph announced Friday that defenseman Matt Case has agreed to terms with the ECHL’s Idaho Steelheads.
The 28-year-old Case had seven goals and 12 assists in 45 games for Lillehammer, Norway, last season. Prior to that, Case played three seasons in Idaho, including his career year in 2012-13 that saw him win the ECHL’s Plus-Performer of the Year for having the league’s highest plus-minus rating (plus-32) and being named first-team All-ECHL. He was also runner-up for the ECHL’s Defenseman for the Year award after posting a career-best 39 points (six goals, 33 assists) in 62 games. Between the regular season and the playoffs, Case has skated in 174 games for the Steelheads.
