Rookie D-man re-ups with Idaho

Boise, ID (7/31/14) – Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Brad Ralph announced on Thursday that the ECHL’s Idaho Steelheads have agreed to terms with rookie defenseman Eamonn McDermott.

The 22-year-old McDermott joined the Steelheads at the end of last season after concluding his college career at Colorado College.  He picked up an assist in his professional debut at Utah on March 24 and tied for the team lead in plus/minus rating during the postseason (plus-3).  He appeared in 16 total games with Idaho between the regular season and the playoffs, finishing with four assists from the blue line.

Ralph on McDermott: “Eamonn is a true competitor with great hockey sense who is mobile. He’s a high-character player that is driven to improve, make our team better and make it to the next level.”

Season tickets for the 2014-15 season are already on sale, starting at just $275 to secure the same seat for all 36 home games.  There are also partial-season plans available for fans seeking more flexibility.   Contact the Steelheads front office at 208.383.0080 or log on to www.idahosteelheads.com for more information.
