Bast returns to Idaho

Boise, ID (7/29/14) – Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Brad Ralph announced Tuesday that forward Jason Bast has agreed to terms with the ECHL’s Idaho Steelheads.

Bast, 25, will officially be a rookie but appeared in 13 regular-season games with Idaho at the end of last season after concluding his college career at St. Francis Xavier University in Canada.  In those 13 games, Bast collected 16 points (six goals, ten assists), the second-most points among all ECHL rookies over that stretch of time.  He also appeared in each of Idaho’s 11 playoff games.

Ralph on Bast: “Jason epitomizes what you want from a teammate, he’s hard-working and a tremendous talent. He’ll bring all the right intangibles along with his ability to impact the game and help the team win games.”

Season tickets for the 2014-15 season are already on sale, starting at just $275 to secure the same seat for all 36 home games.  There are also partial-season plans available for fans seeking more flexibility.   Contact the Steelheads front office at 208.383.0080 or log on to www.idahosteelheads.com for more information.
