Boise, ID (4/1/14) – The Idaho Steelheads, in conjunction with the ECHL, announced Tuesday that goaltender Josh Robinson has been named the CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week for the week of Mar. 24 – 30.
Robinson went 3-0 during the week with a 2.00 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage as Idaho swept a three-game road trip against the Stockton Thunder.
This marks the second time the second-year pro has been named ECHL Goaltender of the Week. He was also recognized in October of 2012 after his first two starts as a professional with the Steelheads. It’s also the second time an Idaho goaltender has been honored this season after Pat Nagle won the award in February.
Robinson is 12-6-1 in 21 appearances with Idaho this season, giving him 39 career wins between the pipes for the Steelheads. That’s the third-most wins in the ECHL era behind Steve Silverthorn (68) and Rejean Beauchemin (42).
The Steelheads are at CenturyLink Arena this weekend for the final two home contests of the regular season, hosting the Colorado Eagles on Friday and Saturday night at 7 PM. Tickets can be purchased by calling the CenturyLink Arena box office at 208-331-8497.
Group outings at a Steelheads game are a great way to gather friends, colleagues, or co-workers for a fun night out in downtown Boise. Ticket prices are discounted and you can get a Pepsi, Double-R Ranch Hot Dog, and bag of Tim’s Cascade Chips with each ticket.
