Rapuzzi named to ECHL's All-Rookie team

Boise, ID (4/9/14) – The Idaho Steelheads, in conjunction with the ECHL, announced Wednesday that forward William Rapuzzi is one of six players to be selected to the ECHL’s 2014 All-Rookie Team.

The players were selected based on a vote of the league’s coaches, broadcasters and media.

The Anchorage, AK, native leads all ECHL rookies with 41 assists, 57 points, 15 power-play assists and 21 power-play points.  His 57 points are also good for tops among all Steelheads players.

Rapuzzi is the fifth Idaho player to earn All-Rookie honors, joining Kael Mouillerat (2011), Evan Barlow (2010), Richard Bachman (2010) and Frank Doyle (2005).

The Steelheads wrap up the regular season with a pair of games at Utah on Friday and Saturday.  Game time each night is 7 PM and the games can be heard on KTIK (1350 AM) in the Treasure Valley.

Idaho returns home on April 18 and 19 for Games 1 and 2 of the opening round of the ECHL’s Western Conference playoffs against an opponent yet to be determined.  Tickets are on sale now at the CenturyLink Arena box office or by calling 208-331-8497.
