Boise, ID (12/6/13) – Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Brad Ralph announced Thursday morning that the Idaho Steelheads have acquired forward Rob Linsmayer from the San Francisco Bulls in exchange for future considerations.
Linsmayer, 23, will be making his second stop with Idaho. He made his professional debut with the Steelheads late last season after concluding his college career at Holy Cross, netting his first professional goal at San Francisco. Ironically, he wound up in San Francisco this season and has two goals in 11 games – the first of which came against Idaho on November 15.
He’s played 15 career professional games with three goals. As a senior at Holy Cross, Linsmayer was the team’s alternate captain and led the squad in assists with 20.
The Winnetka, IL, product is expected to be in uniform, wearing no. 27, on Friday night for Idaho as the Steelheads host Stockton on Project Filter Trading Card Night. Game time is 7 PM.
Group outings at a Steelheads game are a great way to gather friends, colleagues, or co-workers for a fun night out in downtown Boise. Ticket prices are discounted and you can get a Pepsi, Double-R Ranch Hot Dog, and bag of Tim’s Cascade Chips with each ticket. Contact the Steelheads front office at 208.383.0080 for more information.
