Wahl returns from AHL, Goggin dealt to Orlando

Boise, ID (11/12/13) ? Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Brad Ralph announced a pair of transactions Tuesday morning as forward Mitch Wahl has returned to the ECHL?s Idaho Steelheads from the American Hockey League. Also, the Steelheads have traded defenseman Connor Goggin to the Orlando Solar Bears in exchange for future considerations. Wahl played two games for the AHL?s Utica Comets without registering a point. Despite missing three games while on loan to Utica, Wahl is tied for third in scoring for the Steelheads with seven points (one goal, six assists) and is tied for the ECHL lead in power-play assists (5). The fourth-year pro out of Seal Beach, CA, has 106 points in 89 career games at the ECHL level. He now has 71 games of AHL experience under his belt as well. The AHL is the highest level of minor-league hockey in North America. Goggin, 24, skated in five games for the Steelheads this season, picking up one assist along the way. He?s in his second full professional season out of Dartmouth College (NCAA). Idaho?s six-game homestand concludes Wednesday night when the Ontario Reign comes to town. Puck drop is 7:10 PM at CenturyLink Arena. Wednesday is Dollar Beer Night, presented by Bud Light, with small beers costing just one dollar through the second period. Group outings at a Steelheads game are a great way to gather friends, colleagues, or co-workers for a fun night out in downtown Boise. Ticket prices are discounted and you can get a Pepsi, Double-R Ranch Hot Dog, and bag of Tim?s Cascade Chips with each ticket. Contact the Steelheads front office at 208.383.0080 or log on to www.idahosteelheads.com for more information.
