deKastrozza headed back to Idaho

Boise, ID (9/5/13) - Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Brad Ralph announced Thursday that the Idaho Steelheads have agreed to terms with forward David deKastrozza for the upcoming season.deKastrozza, 26, set career highs in goals (19), assists (21) and points (40) while leading the Steelheads in games played (66) last season. The Toms River, NJ, product also finished fifth in the ECHL - and tops on the team - with three short-handed goals during the regular season. For his efforts, he was selected as the team's "Unsung Hero."Ralph on deKastrozza: "'Deeks' brings size, speed and versatility to our lineup. Having a player of his caliber return is a huge asset and he'll help us get off to a quick start."deKastrozza joins defenseman James Isaacs and forward Brett Robinson as returners from last season's team.The Steelheads open training camp in early October and the team will host its third-annual "Season-Ticket Holder Only" preseason game on October 12 before opening the regular season on October 18 at Utah.Idaho's home opener is Wednesday, October 23, when the Steelheads host the San Francisco Bulls at CenturyLink Arena. Season Ticket packages are available, starting at just $275 per seat for all 36 home games. Partial-season packages are also available for fans who want a little more flexibility.
