Boise, ID (2/27/13) ? The ECHL?s Idaho Steelheads will once again use the jerseys off their backs to help generate money for the local community as the team will auction off the jerseys that it wears this week to raise funds for the St. Luke?s Children?s ?Yeah!? Program. The Steelheads will wear navy blue jerseys trimmed in black with the fish crest on the center chest for games Wednesday, Friday and Saturday against the Utah Grizzlies. Each of the jerseys worn will be available via silent auction on the CenturyLink Arena concourse, in the breezeway behind Section 113. Fans have the option of purchasing the jersey of their favorite player outright for $1,500. One hundred percent of the money generated over the three-game set will go to the St. Luke?s Children?s ?Yeah!? program. Yeah! (Youth Engaged in Activities for Health) provides opportunities for area children and their families to learn healthy lifestyle habits and create a foundation for a healthy future. Dating back to 1997, the Idaho Steelheads have generated over $403,000 for local charities and non-profit organizations through jersey auctions. The team has hosted two other fund-raising jersey auctions this year, benefitting St. Luke?s Mountain States Tumor Institute and the Jayden DeLuca Foundation, generating a total of over $23,000.
