Beskorowany reassigned to AHL affiliate

CEDAR PARK, TX ? The Texas Stars, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Dallas Stars, announced today that Dallas has reassigned goaltender Tyler Beskorowany (behs-cohr-WAH-nee) to Texas from the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL. Beskorowany, 22, was assigned to Idaho after attending the Texas Stars training game. The Sudbury, Ontario native has appeared in 20 games this season for the Steelheads, posting a 10-7-3 record with a 2.61 goals-against average, a 0.913 save percentage and one shutout. Beskorowany was drafted by Dallas in the second round (59th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft and has played in 51 career AHL games for Texas, with a 17-27-1 record, 3.10 goals-against average, an 0.899 save percentage and two shutouts. The Steelheads have added Dennis Cook from nearby Long Beach, CA, to the roster to serve as Emergency Backup Goaltender behind Josh Robinson on Saturday night as the team takes on the Bakersfield Condors.Idaho returns home next week to host the Alaska Aces in Boise on January 18 and 19 at CenturyLink Arena.
