San Francisco, CA (1/10/13) - Tyler Beskorowany stopped 29 of 30 shots, including a pair of late flurries, as the Idaho Steelheads knocked off the San Francisco Bulls, 2-1, on Thursday night. With the win, Idaho (23-7-5) has points in seven straight games, going 5-0-2 in that stretch. The Steelheads play at Bakersfield Friday and Saturday night. The homestanding Bulls would strike first on a Peter Sivak goal at 18:45 of the first period, sneaking a low-angle shot between Beskorowany and the near post from the bottom of the right circle to make it 1-0. That lead would hold until late in the second when the Steelheads evened the score on a nice, three-man rush. Newly-signed Ian Watters centered a pass from the left wing to Sam Carrick. Carrick then fed it along to David deKastrozza, who buried his 9th of the season from the edge of the right circle at 18:27 to tie the game at one. Idaho took the lead at 6:36 of the third period when Tristan King blasted home an Austin Fyten feed from the left edge of the slot. King's 13th of the season extended Fyten's assist streak to six straight games and also gave an assist to another Idaho newcomer, defenseman William Lacasse. Down the stretch, it was the Tyler Beskorowany show as he made 15 saves in the third period. In the closing seconds, he got a big assist from defenseman Scott Todd. A Bulls shot was saved, but the rebound rolled toward the right circle. San Francisco forward Dean Oullette eyed the rebound, but Todd was able to swipe the puck out of harm's way with a one-hand jab and the clock expired on Idaho's win. Beskorowany stopped 29 of 30 to pick up his tenth win of the season. Taylor Nelson was the hard-luck loser, stopping 29 of 31 shots. Neither team scored on the power play, Idaho going 0-4 and San Francisco 0-3. Idaho returns home on January 18 and 19 to take on the Alaska Aces in downtown Boise.
