Coyle assigned to Idaho by Stars

Boise, ID (10/24/12) ? Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Brad Ralph announced Wednesday afternoon that the Dallas Stars have re-assigned defenseman Jace Coyle to the Idaho Steelheads from the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League. Idaho (ECHL) and Texas (AHL) are the primary development affiliates of the NHL?s Dallas Stars. The second-year pro from Cranbrook, British Columbia, will be in the lineup for Idaho Wednesday night against the Ontario Reign. He?ll be wearing jersey no. 5. Coyle appeared in 13 games last season with Idaho along with 48 with Texas in the AHL. He totaled seven points and 16 penalty minutes between the two teams in his first professional season. Coyle played major-junior hockey prior to turning pro, spending four seasons in the Western Hockey League. The last three were spent with the Medicine Hat Tigers, where he was a teammate of Idaho forward Tristan King. With Coyle?s assignment, Idaho now has eight players on its current roster who have been assigned by the Stars organization: Coyle, King, John Ryder, Austin Smith, Hubert Labrie, Mathieu Tousignant, Josh Robinson, and Tyler Beskorowany. Ralph also announced that the team has released forward David de Kastrozza. Suites to an Idaho Steelheads hockey game are a great way to get friends, clients, or customers together for an enjoyable evening in downtown Boise. Suites start at $550, feature a private area for visiting and viewing the game, come with specialized wait staff, and also come with at least 12 tickets to the game. Suites for late November and December are booking quickly for holiday parties. Contact the Idaho Steelheads front office at 208.383.0080 for more information.
