It?s been a good start to the offseason for the Idaho Steelheads hockey team. ?Definitely, we?re pleased,? Director of Ticketing Ben Cottier said. ?From a business standpoint, we?re doing well right now.? Cottier said the team is ahead of last season?s pace on both new season-ticket sales and season-ticket renewal. ?There?s still plenty of work to be done,? Cottier continued. ?Our goal is to get this building rocking so, even though we?re off to a good start, there are still plenty of seats to be sold.? To help achieve that goal, the Idaho Steelheads have instituted a referral policy for existing Season-Ticket holders. If a current Season-Ticket holder refers a new customer to the team, a credit of $25 per full season ticket will be applied to their account. ?So, for example, let?s say Bob Conklin refers a friend to us who purchases four Season Tickets,? Cottier explained. ?Then Bob would get a $100 credit, 25 per seat, toward his account for referring that friend to us.? The reasoning behind the referral program is simple, according to Steelheads President Eric Trapp. ?We believe our Season Ticket holders are our best sales people,? Trapp reasoned. ?They?re out there every day, in the community, telling people how much they enjoy coming to the games. They?re telling our story.? As such, Trapp believes, they should be rewarded when someone comes forward to purchase new Season Tickets. ?Everyone wins,? he said. ?There are more people in the building, the existing Season Ticket holders can take a bit of pride in helping us fill it up and they?ll get a bit of a break on their tickets.? Current Season Ticket holders are encouraged to reach out to their account executive to help connect the team with new fans. Once the sale is completed, the credit will be put into the account of the referring customer. There is no maximum number of referrals. ?Too many successful referrals a good problem to have.?
