(Boise, ID) ? Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Hardy Sauter announced Sunday afternoon that defenseman Hubert Labrie has been reassigned from Texas of the American Hockey League to the Idaho Steelheads by the Dallas Stars. Idaho (ECHL) and Texas (AHL) are the primary development affiliates of the NHL?s Stars. The 21-year-old rookie skated eight games earlier this season for Idaho, picking up five points (one goal, four assists) before being reassigned to Texas of the AHL. In 33 games with Texas, Labrie had two goals. He is in the first year of an entry-level contract with the Dallas Stars after playing major junior hockey in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, one of the top levels of junior hockey in North America. Labrie has joined the team in Ontario, CA, and will be available on Monday when the Steelheads take on the Ontario Reign in Game 5 of their best-of-five, first-round ECHL Western Conference Playoff series. The winner of Monday?s game will advance to the Western Conference Semifinals to take on the Las Vegas Wranglers. Game time on Monday is at 8 PM in Ontario. Fans in the Boise area who want to watch the game are encouraged to come to the SportZone, located on the 3rd floor of CenturyLink Arena in downtown Boise for a Viewing Party. There is no admission charge, there will be a limited food menu, and there will be drink specials. Group outings at a Steelheads game are a great way to gather friends, colleagues, or co-workers for a fun night out in downtown Boise. Ticket prices are discounted and you can get a Pepsi, Double-R Ranch Hot Dog, and bag of Tim?s Cascade Chips with each ticket. Contact the Steelheads front office at 208.383.0080 for more information.
