Steelheads sign Rechlicz, Rancourt leaves for Europe

(Boise, ID) ? Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Hardy Sauter announced Friday that forward Marc Rancourt has been placed on team suspension after leaving the Idaho Steelheads to pursue a professional opportunity in Europe. Rancourt had five goals, including a hat trick on December 16 in Stockton, in 14 games. He was also among the ECHL league leaders in shootout percentage, converting four of five attempts. Sauter also announced that forward Chad Nehring has been activated from the injured list and will be in the lineup Friday night against the Utah Grizzlies. The team has also added forward Marc Rechlicz to the roster. Rechlicz, 23, most recently played with Bloomington of the Central Hockey League, but has also played professionally in the ECHL, IHL, and SPHL. Group outings at a Steelheads game are a great way to gather friends, colleagues, or co-workers for a fun night out in downtown Boise. Ticket prices are discounted and you can get a Pepsi, Double-R Ranch Hot Dog, and bag of Tim?s Cascade Chips with each ticket.
