Steelheads trim training-camp roster

(Boise, ID) - Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Hardy Sauter released four players from Idaho Steelheads training camp on Monday: Released from tryout contracts ? F Sam D?Agostino, F Reid Edmondson, G Thomas Speer Released from standard contract ? D Ryan Rorabeck Speer picked up both decisions in goal for the Steelheads over the weekend, losing the preseason opener on Friday before winning the preseason finale on Saturday. D?Agostino, Edmondson, and Rorabeck were all held pointless in the two games, but Edmondson did have a five-minute fighting major in Saturday?s win in Logan, UT. That leaves the current Idaho roster at 22 skaters and two goaltenders. Opening-Night rosters must be submitted later this week and will be released by the league on Thursday. The Steelheads open up the regular season Friday night in West Valley City, UT, against the Utah Grizzlies. The home opener is the following night at CenturyLink Arena in Boise against the same Grizzlies team.
