(Boise, ID) - Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Hardy Sauter announced Wednesday that five players have been released from training camp with the Idaho Steelheads. The following players have been released: F Jason Reese, F Eric Rex, F Kyler Moje, F Nick Petriello, and D Jay Taylor. Idaho has 24 skaters and four goaltenders remaining in camp. The team will scrimmage Thursday morning at 10 AM at CenturyLink Arena. The scrimmage is open to the public and there is no admission charge. The scrimmage is expected to last approximately one hour. The Steelheads host the second-annual Season Ticket Holder Only game on Friday, October 7, against the Utah Grizzlies to open the pre-season. The two teams play the following night in Logan, UT. The regular season begins on Friday, October 14, when the Steelheads travel to West Valley City, UT, to once again meet the Utah Grizzlies. The two teams return to Boise on Saturday, October 15, for Idaho?s home opener at CenturyLink Arena. Steelhead Season-Ticket Holders get six games FREE when they sign up for full-season packages. Plans for all 36 home games start at just $275 per seat. Partial-season plans are also available, with the home-opener coming on October 15 against the Utah Grizzlies.
