A note for fans ...

We realize that, sometimes, we get moving pretty fast down here at CenturyLink Arena. We get into "game mode" and start walking the walk and talking the talk. What we forget, though, is that you don't necessarily know all of the lingo like we do. So here's an important one: the distinction between "signed" and "agreed to terms." If we write that Player X has "signed" for the upcoming season, that means there's a signed contract in hand that has been approved by the ECHL. However, if you read that Player Y has "agreed to terms," that's different. When a player agrees to terms, it means he has agreed to a financial amount to be paid if and when he makes the team. In other words, "agreed to terms" means the player has been invited to training camp for an opportunity to make our hockey team. If there are any other terms or phrases that you don't understand, let us know. We'd be happy to explain them to help you understand the game a little better! Don't forget - the season opens on Friday night, October 14. Idaho opens the season on the road at Utah, but will be home the following night (Saturday, October 15), to host the Grizzlies at CenturyLink Arena. For information on ticket packages, contact the Steelheads' front office at 208.383.0080 and ask to speak to one of our account executives.
