Bachman recalled by AHL's Stars

(Boise, ID) ? Goaltender Richard Bachman has been recalled by the AHL?s Texas Stars and will not be with the Steelheads for Game 6 of the ECHL?s National Conference Finals on Tuesday. The Stars are also involved in a playoff run ? facing a decisive 7th game of the American Hockey League?s West Division finals against the Chicago Wolves. That game will also take place on Tuesday in Chicago. Former Steelheads netminder Matt Climie is expected to start in net for Texas. The 22-year-old Bachman is 6-1-1 in the playoffs for Idaho and is among the postseason league leaders in save percentage (.943) and goals-against average (1.59). Rejean Beauchemin will start in net for Idaho in Game 6 of the National Conference Finals Tuesday night against the Stockton Thunder. He finished the regular season among the ECHL?s leaders in wins (25, 4th) and goals-against average (2.63, T-2nd). Beauchemin stopped 13 of 16 shots in Idaho?s victory over Stockton Saturday night in Game 5. Game 6 is Tuesday night at Qwest Arena. Idaho leads the best-of-seven Conference Finals, three games to two. Game 7, if necessary, would be at Qwest Arena on Wednesday. The winner of the series advances to the Kelly Cup finals against either the Reading Royals or Cincinnati Cyclones. Catch playoff fever with a group night with the Steelheads ? a great way to get family, friends, or colleagues together for a discounted price. Each ticket comes with a soda, hot dog, and bag of chips. Contact the Steelheads front office at 208.383.0080 for more information.
