(Boise, ID) -- Former Idaho Steelhead forward Aaron Gagnon has been recalled by the NHL's Dallas Stars.Gagnon had been playing for the Texas Stars, Idaho's American Hockey League affiliate.?This is a big day for the Texas Stars and a big day for Aaron Gagnon,? Texas General Manager Scott White said in a team release. ?Aaron is a responsible player who is deserving of this opportunity. Our main goal here is to develop Dallas Stars and we will continue to do that.?He's the first member of the Texas Stars to receive an NHL callup and joins former Steelhead Tom Wandell on Dallas' roster.Gagnon appeared in 26 games for Idaho during the 2007-2008 season, finishing with 8 goals and 15 assists with the Steelheads.Dan Ellis (Nashville), Zenon Konopka (Tampa Bay), and BJ Crombeen (Saint Louis) are other former Steelheads currently playing in the NHL.
