Former Boise Burn offensive lineman Kyle DeVan has survived the first wave of cuts in the NFL, remaining on the roster of the Indianapolis Colts as the team prepares for its final preseason game. The Colts play at Cincinnati Thursday night. The Oregon State product is on Indy?s depth chart as a center but has also seen time at guard, enhancing his chances of becoming the first former Burn player to make an NFL roster. DeVan played the first three games with the Burn before agreeing to a free-agent contract with the Colts in early May. He is the second player to jump from the Burn to an NFL training camp. Linebacker Mickey Pimantel played the regular-season finale for Boise in 2008 before going to training camp with the Atlanta Falcons, where he was among the final players released before the regular season.
