Hoenike Named Director of Media and Community Relations

The Idaho Steelheads Hockey Club, Boise Burn Football Club and Qwest Arena announced today that Will Hoenike has been named the Director of Media and Community Relations. Hoenike will replace Bonnie Way Snider who has held that position for the past seven years.In his role, Hoenike will be responsible for all communications with media, as well as for providing content on the Web sites, game day programs and video wall. Hoenike will have corporate sales responsibilities and oversee the community relations programs associated with the teams. Eric Trapp, president of Idaho Sports Properties said, ?We?re all very sad to see Bonnie leave. We can?t thank her enough for her years of dedication and service to our organization and in the community, and we wish her and her family the best.??At the same time, Will is ready to step into his new role in the organization,? Trapp added. ?His experience, communications skills and knowledge of the local sports market will help maintain the high standards that Bonnie set for professionalism and working relationships with our partners in the media.?Hoenike has been with the Idaho Steelheads and Boise Burn for nearly two-and-a-half years as the Season Tickets Director. Prior to that, Hoenike was well-known to Treasure Valley sports fans as the weekend sports anchor and reporter at Today?s Channel 6 (KIVI TV). The Spokane native is a graduate of the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication at Washington State University. Way Snider?s last day with the organization is Friday, but effective today, Hoenike will be the primary media contact for the Burn, Steelheads and Qwest Arena. A replacement for the Season Ticket Holder position will be announced later this week.###
