The Idaho Steelheads took advantage of some rare mid-season time off and enjoyed a little team building and a little glistening snow. Thanks to Bogus Basin, a local ski and snowboarding favorite spot about a 30-minute drive north of Downtown Boise, the boys were able to have some fun tubing Thursday afternoon. The weather couldn't have been better - the temperature hovered around freezing, but the afternoon sun made it feel much warmer.Of course, with these guys, everything turns into a competition. Soon, the race was on to see who could get down the hill fastest. Several players were declared winners throughout the day after they took off running down the hill, lept onto the tubes and soared down on their stomachs. After Coach Laxdal lost his hat (which incidentally looked more like a dead racoon then a hat; not sure where you got that thing) midway down the hill, the race was on to see who could snag it. A feat that, as it turned out, wasn't easy to accomplish. A few snow balls were thrown and a few rays were caught, and all in all, a good time was had by all.
