BOISE, ID – The Idaho Steelheads (@Steelheads), proud ECHL (@ECHL) affiliate of the Dallas Stars (@DallasStars), and Steelheads Head Coach & Director of Hockey Operations Everett Sheen announced today that the club has signed forward Luke Mylymok to an ECHL contract for the 2026-27 season.
Mylymok, 24, continues the family legacy in Idaho, becoming the third Mylymok to skate for the Steelheads, following in the footsteps of his father Jeremy (2000-2006) and his brother Connor (2023-24).
The young forward prepares for his second full season in the ECHL after suiting up for 45 games with the Rapid City Rush in the 2023-24 season, logging 20 points (12G, 8A). After signing with the Greensboro Gargoyles heading into the 2025-26 campaign, Mylymok missed the entire season with an injury sustained in training camp.
Prior to pro hockey, the 5-foot-10 forward spent five seasons in the collegiate ranks, skating three seasons with the University of Minnesota-Duluth before finishing his collegiate career with Niagara University. Mylymok racked up 32 points (16G, 16A) in 101 games across those five seasons.
The Boise product collected 48 points (24G, 24A) in 105 junior games to start his career, playing for the Notre Dame Hounds (SJHL), Green Bay Gamblers (USHL), and Salmon Arm Silverbacks (BCHL).
The Idaho Steelheads kick off their 29th season on October 16th at New Mexico and will host the Allen Americans on October 23rd for their home opener.
