STEELHEADS, JAYDEN DELUCA FOUNDATION RAISE OVER $39,200 IN AUCTION WEEKEND
BOISE, ID – The Idaho Steelheads and the Jayden DeLuca Foundation have announced the total donations from the Jayden DeLuca Foundation weekend Jersey Auction on Mar. 1 and 2 at the Idaho Central Arena. Steelheads fans contributed $39,200 through the auction shattering last year’s collection of $27,400. All proceeds go towards the Jayden DeLuca Foundation and the St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital, which supports children and their families in the battle against cardiac disease and works to promote scientific and medical research to find cures for cardiac diseases.
Fans had the opportunity to purchase game-worn jerseys designed by the Jayden DeLuca Foundation against the Utah Grizzlies. Matt Register and Jordan Kawaguchi each had their jerseys bought out for $2,500.
The foundation was established in 2008 by Jeremy and Karalie DeLuca following the passing of their daughter, Jayden, due to a congenital heart condition. The Steelheads and Treasure Valley community have raised $151,600 toward the Jayden DeLuca Foundation.
“We would like to thank our fans once again for coming out to support the Jayden DeLuca Foundation,” said Steelheads General Manager Steven Anderson. “The Jayden DeLuca Foundation is an organization that we are extremely proud to work with and look forward to our continued partnership with them.”
