The Idaho Steelheads, in conjunction with the ECHL, are proud to announce that Director of Broadcasting & Media Relations Collin Schuck has been named a finalist in the category of Media/PR Director of the Year for the 2021-22 ECHL Team Awards.Schuck, 31, joined the Steelheads prior to the 2018-19 season and has served both as the Voice of the Steelheads as well as the primary media contact for the organization, a member of the content creation/social media team, and the team’s travel coordinator. This is the first individual finalist recognition at the ECHL level for the Erial, N.J. native and would join Will Hoenicke (2011) as the only two award winners for the Media/PR Director of the Year category in the team’s history if voted to the honor.There have been eight individual awards claimed by Steelheads staff members since their introduction to the ECHL in 2003-04, most recently in 2020 when President Eric Trapp was named Executive of the Year. A member of the team has earned an individual award in three of the last four eligible seasons, and four of the seven individuals served in the broadcasting and media relations role.The annual ECHL Team Awards honor teams and individuals in several categories for their accomplishments during the 2021-22 season.
