BOISE, Idaho – The Idaho Steelheads have signed forward Zach Franko to a Standard Player Contract (SPC), Steelheads Head Coach and Director of Operations Neil Graham announced Wednesday.
Franko, 25, completed his collegiate career with the University of Manitoba (USports), posting nine goals and six assists for 15 points through 22 games in his senior season. Through his four-year career between Manitoba and Acadia University, the Winnipeg, Man., native totaled 35 goals and 57 assists for 92 points through 105 games. The 5-foot-10, 190-pound forward also played four season between the Kelowna Rockets (WHL) and Kootenay Ice (WHL), boasting 81 goals and 139 assists for 220 points through 280 games between 2010 and 2014.
The Steelheads begin a six-game homestand tonight at 7:10 p.m. against the Rapid City Rush from CenturyLink Arena.
