BOISE, Idaho – Goaltender Colton Point has been recalled from the Idaho Steelheads by the Dallas Stars (NHL) to the Texas Stars (AHL), Steelheads Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Neil Graham announced Thursday.
Point, 20, has played in 10 games with the Steelheads this season, posting a 5-1-1 record with a 3.31 goals-against average and a .884 save percentage. The North Bay, Ont., native has wins in each of his last three decisions and owns a 3-1-0 record since his last stint with AHL Texas. Point appeared in six games with the Texas Stars this season, posting a 2-3-0 record with a 3.79 goals-against average and a .857 save percentage. He was drafted 128th overall (5th Round) by Dallas in the 2016 NHL Draft and makes his third stint of the year with the AHL franchise.
The Steelheads continue their weekend series against the Utah Grizzlies on Friday, Feb. 8 at 7:05 p.m. from Maverik Center.
