BOISE, Idaho – The Idaho Steelheads (4-6-1) finished their six-game road trip spanning 12 days with four games last week and prepare for a six-game home stand beginning on Wednesday.

The Steelheads scored four goals in the third period en route to a 5-3 win in the first franchise meeting with the Fuel at Indiana Farmers Coliseum. After an early Fuel goal, Steelheads forward Brad McClure (17:51 1st) tied the game at 1-1 heading into the second period. The Steelheads scored four goals in under five minutes starting with defenseman Clint Lewis (7:04 2nd) followed by forward Spencer Naas (9:11 2nd), McClure (10:13 2nd) again, and defenseman Jeff King (PP, 11:28 2nd) to take a 5-1 lead. The Fuel scored two more before the end of the game, finalizing the score at 5-3. Goaltender Tomas Sholl (1-0-0) stopped 34 of 37 shots in the win.
Friday, November 2 @ Toledo Walleye: 4-0 LShots: Steelheads 27, Walleye 31PP: Steelheads 0-for-3, Walleye 1-for-4
The Steelheads opened their three-game weekend with a 4-0 loss to the Walleye at Huntington Center. The Walleye scored three goals in the opening period before the goals subsided until the third period. The Walleye added one more to take the 4-0 win. Netminder Philippe Desrosiers (2-3-1) stopped 27 of 31 shots in the loss.
Saturday, November 3 @ Toledo Walleye: 3-2 LShots: Steelheads 35, Walleye 28PP: Steelheads 1-for-5, Walleye 0-for-5
The Steelheads scored two in the third period but fell 3-2 to the Walleye from Huntington Center. After two Walleye goals through the first two periods, the Steelheads charged back with a goal from forward A.J. White (5:13 3rd) to cut the lead in half, 2-1. Steelheads forward Steve McParland (PP, 12:08 3rd) tied the game at 2-2, but a late Walleye goal put them ahead for the 3-2 win. Netminder Tomas Sholl (1-1-0) halted 25 of 28 shots in the loss.
Sunday, November 4 @ Kalamazoo Wings: 3-1 LShots: Steelheads 30, Wings 26PP: Steelheads 1-for-6, Wings 1-for-4
The Steelheads fell behind in a special teams battle during a 3-1 loss to the Wings from Wings Event Center. The two sides combined for three goals in just under three minutes late in the second period starting with a Wings tally followed up by a goal from Steelheads defenseman Brady Norrish (PP, 14:28 2nd) then one more Wings goal to take a 2-1 lead. An empty net goal in the final 30 seconds sealed the win for the Wings. Goaltender Tomas Sholl (1-2-0) saved 23 of 25 shots in the loss.

The Steelheads open a six-game home stand over the next two weeks with their second weekend series against the Tulsa Oilers. The Steelheads split their two meetings on opening weekend in a road meeting with Tulsa, falling in regulation on October 13 but winning in a shootout the following evening. After this weekend, the Steelheads and Oilers will be halfway finished their 10-game season series. Overall, the Steelheads are 11-4-0 in the franchise series since the Oilers joined the ECHL in the 2014-15 season.

Bud Light $2 Wednesdays: During every Wednesday regular season home game through the end of the 2nd period of play, the Steelheads offer small $2 Bud Light to persons 21 years of age and older (not including playoffs). The first Bud Light $2 Wednesday will be the next home game on November 7.
