BOISE, Idaho – The Idaho Steelheads have received forward Eglin Pearce on assignment from the Texas Stars and loaned goaltender Ryan Faragher to the Stockton Heat (AHL), Steelheads Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Neil Graham announced Wednesday.
Pearce, 26, was recalled by AHL Texas on November 5 and makes his second stint with the Steelheads. The Port Coquitlam, B.C., native played five games in Idaho, tallying two assists with 12 penalty minutes and a -3 rating. Pearce has played one game with AHL Texas and 11 career AHL games, totaling one goal and two assists for three points.
Faragher, 28, makes his second stint with AHL Stockton after being recalled on October 27, making five saves on five shots during 20:00 minutes that night against the Bakersfield Condors. Between his two calls to AHL Stockton, the Fort Frances, Ont., native played in two games for the Steelheads, stopping 56 shots on 62 attempts against the Tulsa Oilers on Friday and Saturday. In four games with the Steelheads this year, Faragher owns a 1-2-1 record with a 3.52 goals-against average and a .885 save percentage.
The Steelheads open a six-game stretch against the Rapid City Rush beginning tonight at CenturyLink Arena. Puck drop is at 7:10 p.m.
