BOISE, Idaho – The Texas Stars (AHL) have assigned forward Tony Calderone to the Idaho Steelheads, Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Neil Graham announced on Wednesday.
Calderone, 24, returns to the Steelheads with six games played in Idaho this season, posting an assist in his ECHL debut on November 7 against the Tulsa Oilers. The Trenton, Mich., native was first assigned to the Steelheads on November 6 following six games with AHL Texas and returns after a short stint in Cedar Park. Calderone owns two goals and four penalty minutes in nine career AHL games.
The Steelheads continue their six-game stretch against the Rapid City Rush tonight at 7:05 p.m. from Rushmore Plaza Civic Center.
The Steelheads return to CenturyLink Arena on Friday, Nov. 30 at 7:10 p.m. against the Jacksonville Icemen.
