BOISE, Idaho – Forward Tony Calderone and goaltender Colton Point have been recalled to the Texas Stars, Idaho Steelheads Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Neil Graham announced on Sunday.
Calderone, 24, has been called up by AHL Texas after played six games with the Steelheads, posting an assist in his ECHL debut on November 7 against the Tulsa Oilers. The Trenton, Mich., native was assigned to the Steelheads on November 6 following six games with AHL Texas. In nine career AHL games, Calderone owns two goals and four penalty minutes.
Point, 20, was assigned to AHL Texas by the Dallas Stars following four games with the Steelheads, posting a 2-0-1 record with a 2.32 goals-against average and a .918 save percentage. The North Bay, Ont., product makes his second stint with AHL Texas after being assigned on November 6 and starting his first ECHL game on November 7. Through five AHL games, Point boasts a 1-3-0 record with a 3.96 goals-against average and a .854 save percentage.
The Steelheads continue their six-game stretch against the Rapid City Rush on Wednesday, Nov. 21 at 7:05 p.m. from Rushmore Plaza Civic Center.
The Steelheads return to CenturyLink Arena on Friday, Nov. 30 at 7:10 p.m. against the Jacksonville Icemen.
